Thankful

I am thankful to have family all over the world.

I am thankful that I was able to visit my family in India two years ago with my parents.

With my maternal grandfather’s sister and her family.
With my dad’s siblings, my cousins, and their children

I am thankful that just this past year, I have visited family in Louisiana (twice!), San Diego, Las Vegas, New York and now, Tucson this weekend.

With my maternal grandmother, brother, sister-in-law, maternal uncle, maternal cousin and her husband

I am thankful for the opportunities and freedom I have to travel. Along with the locations above, I went to Pittsburgh, Chicago, Washington D.C. and New Orleans again, but this time for Mardi Gras!

At Mardi Gras

I am thankful for my nephew who has been renamed Teghan the Tornado, but will still give me kisses and cuddle with me.

I am thankful for Kavya, my niece in heaven, who has taught me the importance of spirituality, to believe in myself and embrace what we have right in front of us.

I am thankful for friends I met through old jobs who still keep in touch no matter where we are.

I am thankful for technology which allows me to keep in touch with friends and family, and to work from home, the airport and my cousin’s living room.

I am thankful for friends and family who care for each other deeply.

I am thankful for friends who are like family, and family who are friends.
