I created two video scripts for different audiences, and a brochure that could be used for print or digital purposes for Tufts University as a freelance opportunity for Unique Venues.
Video Script (approximately 2 minutes) – Service centric
Debuting in Fall 2021, Joyce Cummings Center will be the newest addition to venues offerings through Tufts Conference & Event Services, and will be available for conferences, professional development, and community engagement.
The Cummings Center is conveniently located next to the new T stop on the green line which will open at the same time as The Cummings Center. (show rendering and SF numbers – 148,000 total s.f. and 19,413 s.f. meeting space). 3 large spaces (max capacity 85 each) are divided by soundproof walls that transform the spaces into one large ballroom (max capacity 350 banquet). Also included are 7 networked computer labs (max capacity 24 each) perfect for technology-based meetings and events. Additional spaces include 2 auditoriums (seating 50 and 160), 5 flexible seating meeting spaces (25-50 capacity each) and 4 seminar rooms (max capacity each).
Tufts Catering is available year-round, and offers a variety of menu options and service style, from drop off to full service catering. Tufts Catering offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, kosher menus, and staff will work with clients to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions. Summer conference guests are invited to dine at Carmichael Dining Center and Dewick-MacPhie Dining Center with a variety of all you care to eat options.
In addition to the Cummings Center, Tufts Conference & Event Services offers an inventory of venues including classrooms, auditoriums (560 capacity is the largest), and multi-function spaces throughout campus. (if possible, get still of Breed Memorial Hall, largest multi-function space, holding 180 capacity rounds).
The library features a rooftop space ideal for receptions with skyline views (night time photo/video). Greenspaces are available for tented outdoor receptions or outdoor conferences. Ample parking is available on campus, especially nights and weekends.
Guests also can enjoy the Tisch Sports and Fitness Center, an outdoor track that surrounds the football field, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts and an indoor pool.
On-campus residential accommodations are available from mid-May to mid-August. When on-campus housing is not available, Tufts partners with area hotels to offer a wide range of accommodations.
